Sleep = Slim?

People are always looking for easy ways to drop a few extra pounds. One factor you may not have considered is sleep. There are different ways a solid sleep schedule can help you shed those unwanted pounds. For starters, sleep can help reduce cravings for unhealthy food. According to a study published in the Nature Communications journal, sleep-deprived people want foods that contain on average 600 calories more than what they crave when they’re well rested. Additionally, sleep makes you more likely to stick to your current diet. A 2012 study by the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research found people who had low stress and were sleeping more than six, but no more than eight, hours a night were about twice as likely to have success in their diet program.
