If you don’t feel like you fit into the “morning person” or “evening person” categories, you may be on to something. New research published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences identifies two new personality types to describe people's level of alertness throughout the day. Researchers are referring to these types as the “napper” and “afternoon” chronotypes. “Afternoon” types wake up with the highest levels of sleepiness out of all groups. Similar to morning types, “nappers” begin the day very alert and remain that way until about 11 am. Sleepiness starts to set in then and peaks around 3 pm. Read article here.
