Many articles have been written and studies performed to inform the masses about the side effects of not getting enough sleep, but one effect you may not know about has to do with hydration. It’s natural to feel bad after a rough night of sleep, but new research has shown that you could also be dehydrated the day after.
The study, published in the Sleep Journal, states that people who reported sleeping six hours a night were 16-59% more likely to be inadequately hydrated than those who said they normally slept eight. This is based on analyses of their urine samples. Adults from the United States and China participated in this study, and the results were consistent for both populations.
