Exercise and a proper diet are what most consider when seeking a better night’s sleep, but becoming more hydrated can help as well. There are five steps that can help your hydration, leading to improved sleep.
The first two involve drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up and waiting two to three hours before drinking coffee. The third is drinking water when you eat. This improves digestion and helps your body absorb nutrients. Step four is opting for a caffeine-free beverage in the afternoon since caffeine can linger in the body for up to six hours, hindering attempts to fall asleep. The final step is having a glass of water before bed. This prevents cramps from occurring in the middle of the night, waking you up.
